Bedford Radio's Community Noticeboard sponsored by The Harpur Trust – supporting the people of Bedford for over 450 years

Our Community Noticeboard is there to help promote, raise awareness, or help your community group, voluntary organisation or charity communicate your needs.

Messages can be for recruiting volunteers, promoting events, fundraising campaigns, and other activities, appeals for donations, and for general promotion of your organisation.

Every hour on Bedford Radio we will play one of our community noticeboard messages out on air. It's completely free to have a message on the noticeboard.

We will also turn your message into a social video (using logo/artwork supplied) that we will share on our social media platforms, and you are welcome to share as well.

All you need to do is submit the details of your message below for us to record, or record yourselves saying the message (no longer than 30 seconds and email it to [email protected])

Please note: it can take a week or two to get your message on air, and we recommend running a campaign for at least 6 weeks to achieve impact. The noticeboard is therefore most suitable either for projects that are due to conclude, or events that are due to happen, at least 8 weeks after the date of submission.

Alternatively, messages can be run on a longer term basis to provide general information about what you do. We aim to have 5-6 messages in rotation at any one time, which means each message is played 3-4 times per day. So for messages that are to run on an open-ended basis, we may rest them at times of high demand and reinstate them later.

The Community Noticeboard is open to registered charities, constituted community groups, or incorporated not-for-profit organisations. We do not allow political messages or campaigning messages.
