Be part of our Operations Group and Leadership Team

Can you bring your skills to help Bedford Radio? We can't deliver local radio for Bedford without volunteers to lead and run the station. Can you be part of the team?

Volunteering with Bedford Radio is an enjoyable and satisfying way to contribute to the community, meet new people and gain new experiences. 

You don't have to be an existing volunteer or presenter (although if you are, you're very welcome to apply!). What you do need are the enthusiasm and skills to help us establish Bedford Radio as the first choice for local listening. (Please note: these are not placements or work experience opportunities.)

We are looking for support with the following operational and leadership roles (click through to the role descriptions for more information):

• Leadership team
  We are looking for experienced leaders and managers to take on senior, Director-level roles on our Leadership Team
• Daytime coordinator
  Oversee our daytime programmes and support the presenters with content
• Communications coordinator
  Manage our newsletters and relationships with other media outlets
• Social Media Coordinator
  Manage our social media channels to promote Bedford Radio.
• News Coordinator
  Set up and run our local news service, including by recruiting and leading a team.
• Finance Coordinator 
  Help us keep track of our finances.
• Sports Coordinator
  Take the lead on our coverage of local sporting teams and events.
• Fundraising Coordinator 
  Generate vital funding for our station.
• Programming Coordinator 
  Manage our programme line-up.
• Project Coordinator 
  Deliver projects we run as a station, and bid for funding to deliver more.
• Volunteer Support Coordinator 
  Guide our volunteers through training, and support them when they need it.
• Training Coordinator
  Oversee our training processes for volunteers
• Events Team Member
  Support our Events Coordinator to organise and run events
• Technical Coordinator
  Support and maintain our playout systems and studio equipment
• Supporters Coordinator
  Run our supporters' club, to enable listeners who value Bedford Radio to support it financially
